The owners of La Casita, Lynn and Lester, have spent a lifetime exploring the more rugged areas of western Europe. We have a shared interest in the appeal of nature, both bird and flower watching and also in the attractions of walking and cycling, especially, on the near empty roads and tracks in this remote area.

Lester has been a keen cyclist for many years and has extensive knowledge of both road and off-road cycling. His recommendation is that cyclists could use La Casita as a base for autumn/winter and spring training. Leisure cyclists and walkers would enjoy it the whole year round. The nearest hill rises from the door to more than 1500 metres.

Lester and Lynn farm on eco-friendly principles growing fruit, mainly for their own consumption, but a variety is available to guests for nearly twelve months of the year. (See Fruit Calendar for details)

Lester and Lynn look forward to welcoming you to their green oasis in the hidden bottom of  the valley and to share with them the peace of  isolation from the stresses of the modern world.
